PALM BEACH charter flights arrive for the kick-off of the 50 yr. old Palm Beach Par-3 Golf Club. Re-opening today at 8 a.m. on Ocean Blvd the 39-acre, 18-hole course has just finished 8 months of renovations. The $4.5 million face lift included an addition of salt-tolerant greens that require less irrigation. 
Respectfully, Golf legend Ray Floyd headed the renovation committee and helped raise money for the project, will have the honor of hitting the ceremonial first tee today, December 09, 2009. Ceremonies began at 8 a.m.
Floyd had stated that the golf course will be much more playable and beautiful. He donated his design services and is lead the fundraising campaign. Also working with Floyd as landscape architects, Lucido & Associates.
